Try to get "Workflowly" tags in XMind

Florian Oct 31, 2017 09:57PM HKT

I am a big fan of XMind, but I tried a few weeks ago
Their concept of tags and dynamic search is really nice.

In XMind, I would like also to find quickly and see in one step / one screen all the nodes that I name "#TODO one thing to do" and search with "#TODO". I often note down some things to do during meetings, and would like to have then a global view of all these to dos of all my meetings.

I think that the best I can do is to create a node "Actions" with links to the others nodes "Actions of meeting ABC" which contains my "#TODO one thing to do" sub-nodes.

Maybe somebody would have a better idea to do such a thing?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Hi Florian,

As you suggest, grouping all the "to-do's" into one node is a decent solution.

Although there's a lot of possibilities, I use myself those two:

- I associate the to-do's with a specific icon (mostly the first one of the "task progress" markers), and I use then the "filter" function to make then visible (the advanced filter of the "pro" version works with labels too): this is the little funnel icon right under the workspace
- I use an easy and visible sign to isolate the to-do's into a lot of other items (typically a note-taking during a meeting): I use a "boundary" to mark the item (CTRL-B or CMD-B)

I'll second to Christophe's suggestion about filtering. Remember that you can import own markers should you not find suitable among the built-in ones.
