I would like to make sure to backup the data file containing my XMind maps. Could you tell me in which folder they are stored ?

Thanks a lot

Develle,

Do you mean the automatic backup, auto save? The auto saved revisions are deeply buried in the user's AppData (on MS Windows) or Library (on Mac). Open a map, edit it a little and wait for the auto save period (defaults to 5 min). You can then find the folder based on modification time. But...

I don't recommend tampering with the folder nor its content. Rather if you're worried about backups, install Dropbox, Apple's Icloud drive, Google Drive, Microsoft's OneDrive or similar that creates on your computer a folder where you can save normally while at the background synchronises with a (versioning) cloud storage service. Then work normally but hit save from time to time to save a new revision.

Or give a spin to Xmind Cloud. Note, some users have had issues with it (search this forum), so be cautious and don't rely solely on it.
