Topic width align is an important function.
I search this in FAQ, and find some feedback looks like did not plan to support.
I want to say that this function is very important for a clean alignment layout. so please think about one more time.

Will,

A design principle in Xmind is, that the automatic layout engine takes from you the burden of positioning and adjustment, so that you can concentrate on the content. Therefore there are no settings for min & max widths and heights of topics etc.

When you create a new topic, it always spans one line. Double click on a topic and a green bar with two tiny black arrows becomes visible at the right end on the topic. Drag the bar, and the text in the topic adjusts itself to the width.

Hint: You can have a line break in the topic to force a newline, e.g. an empty line. The trick is how to type a line break character. On Mac this is just a key combination (IIRC, alt + return), but on a MS Windows you have type alt + 0013 and alt + 0010 or simply copy & paste a line break from Notepad.
