Request for Editable Sharing Feature in XMind AI Version
Dear XMind Support Team,
I hope this message finds you in good spirits. I am reaching out to discuss a concern that has arisen since the recent upgrade to the XMind AI version. As a long-time user of XMind Pro, I have consistently relied on the capability to share my mind maps for collaborative editing.
With the transition to XMind AI, I have noticed the feature allowing edit access to shared mind maps now appears to be accessible only with a Plus upgrade. I would like to bring to your attention that I have an active annual Pro subscription, which has previously catered to all my needs, including this collaborative feature. The current limitation of not having this feature without an upgrade to Plus significantly impacts my workflow and the ability to collaborate effectively with my peers.
I understand and appreciate that the evolution of software involves changes in features and often, pricing structures. Nonetheless, I am kindly requesting the consideration of a solution that permits the retention of the sharing and editing capabilities that my colleagues and I rely upon, without the need for additional AI features or incurring extra costs. This functionality is crucial for our collaborative projects, and its availability, as in the prior version, is essential for our productivity.
I am aware that there might be a method to revert to the old version of XMind, as per your guidance. While this could be seen as a temporary fix, I believe that embracing the advances of the AI version with the continued convenience of shared editing would be the best way forward for all users.
XMind has been an invaluable asset in my toolkit for mind mapping and collaboration, and I advocate for its use within my network. I am optimistic that we can find a pathway that allows for the continued use of XMind with all the critical functions it offers.
Thank you for considering my feedback and for any assistance you can provide. I am looking forward to your response and am willing to discuss any possible solutions that would allow me to maintain the use of XMind for collaborative purposes.
Warm regards,
Isabella Liao

Yes I just noticed this as well. I don't need the AI features, but the collaborative editing was something I had included in my Pro subscription.
Hopefully Xmind team can enable collaborative editing for those with Pro subscriptions, and perhaps after their subscriptions are due for renewal, the new pricing structure is applied?

I got a response from Support - collaboration is Xmind AI only, not included in the Pro subscription. It seems to have the desktop app and be able to do collaboration, we need two subscriptions.
There is a comparison table between Pro and AI here: https://xmind.works/share/e5y89Ufe?xid=cijas1M8
I hope Xmind revises this, as it doesn't seem right to need two subscriptions. I guess the realtime collaboration is a killer feature, but I will have to investigate alternatives at this point as I don't believe a more expensive additional subscription is justified just for that one feature.

Yeah at the very least the top tier product should have all features. It's definitely odd to have the more expensive product (Xmind AI) missing features of the cheaper product (Xmind Pro desktop).. I am still hopeful that Xmind will revise this pricing structure and product segmentation into something more workable (and not needing two licenses).
