Enable use of markdown formatting options when adding text

Love the product.

I'd love it even more if I could add inline formatting using common markdown conventions. At a minimum:

• *bold* text
• ~strikethrough~ text
• _italic_ text
• `backticks to provide inline code` displayed using a fixed width font

Would feel really intuitive and would also match the conventions many products are using.

Bullets, numbered lists, quotes would all be great as well if deemed appropriate.

  +1 I really need this feature in topics!

  even just a "formatting" feature might be good, not necessarily in a "markdown" way
