Status tracking for tasks

Parent and children tasks - all can have a status % (30% done, 50% done, etc). 

If a parent has 10 children, each of which is 10% done, the parent is 10% done, too. 

Can the parent % done be automatically calculated by the children? 

Can this be done for more than 1 level?
