Convert from one type to another

I'm sure I'm probably just overlooking something easy, but is there way to change an item type to another type? For example, I've got some items that are sub-topics, but they're probably more appropriate as call outs. Is there an easy way to just convert it from one type to another, or is creating a call out and copy-pasting stuff the best path?
