Hyperlink from external application to mind maps XMIND8
I use XMIND8 at the top level in my knowledge management system. Every topic begins with a mind map. Examples, Google and Python are top-level topics. As each category is resolved to subtopics links are provided. For details on a topic or subtopic, I rely on the Microsoft OneNote application. Both XMIND and OneNote have excellent hyperlinking capabilities. With XMIND I am able to link to any notebook, notebook section, or notebook page.
The number one feature I miss within XMIND is the ability to hyperlink to a topic or subtopic within XMIND from OneNote.
Example: Google has many topics.
I would like to be able to hyperlink from OneNote to the GCP Courses link in the lower right. Currently, to refer to the topic I must hyperlink to the mind map then explain the path to GCP Courses.
Google.xmind | Courses | GCP Courses
Even though I am specifically referencing Microsoft OneNote, the hyperlinking capability would be useful in a wide range of applications. Many Microsoft products, Evernote, etc. Given XMIND pros exporting capabilities, and hyperlinking capabilities imagine the benefit of being able to link back to the original mind maps.
As new products have been added to your product list I have looked to each of those products specifically for two-way hyperlinking. So far I have found XMIND 8 continues to meet my needs the best. A product with bidirectional hyperlinking as well as the other capabilities of XMIND 8 would easily entice me to subscribe to that new product.
