IOS icloud sync broken: Xmind ios app opens old version despite showing new icloud time stamp
I'm syncing between my laptop and ipad using icloud. This has worked in the past, but it's been buggy for years on ios and often required repeated opening and closing of a map before the updated version is shown. Now it appears completely broken.
Today I've been editing a map on laptop and I need to open it on ipad. The ios app's icloud directory view shows that my map was updated 15 minutes ago, but when I open the map it brings up a version that is many weeks old and doesn't show any of my recent changes. Even the file cache in the app's settings shows the map file with today's time stamp. Clearly the app knows the file has been changed, but for some reason it refuses to open the current version and instead shows an old map. No error message, no warning.
What's going on?

Xmind has a great mapping UI but dealing with these persistent sync issues for years on end is a big waste of time. Whenever I open a map I have to doublecheck to make sure it's actually loading the newest version. Then close the map, reopen it, check again. It's a big liability because sometimes I accidentally work on an outdated map. I'm starting to think Xmind will never really work for people who use more than one device
