Lack of autosave feature in XMind 2020
It's a really big problem. If you forget to save manually, you can lose your work. If you work in the office and then come home (and your file is synchronized via DropBox / Google Drive), you will not get your work of the day.
Almost all apps have this (even XMind 8), but not XMind 2020. This is the main reason for me why I'm still use XMind 8.
Please, add this feature.
Thank you

I am blown away that this isn't implemented! I lost a ton of brainstorming that I can not get back due to a reboot. I tried to remember it all and I know I am missing things. This is really weak and will make me look for an alternative. Other than this, I think XMind 2020 is super solid, so hopefully this can be added quickly.

Is this even being considered?
I work mostly out of two locations and in a couple of occasions lost data because I forgot to save before leaving.Even closing the computer don't fix it because it stores the changes in (I guess) the user profile temp folder but not on the file itself.
Do it simple, doesn't need to be on every change, it can be every 5 seconds, every minute, or every configurable amount of time, but do something please.

Lost some work because of an electricity outage.
So surprised that modern software does not use autosave or document restoration feature. Long time ago I got used to constantly and compulsively hitting "cmd+s". Thought this is not a problem for modern software now, but it is (( -
I can't believe that I lose data both yesterday and today. yesterday, after couple of hours of work, I found that the mindmap went back to a previous version after I take 10 mins break (and my mac slept for while), and refreshed the page.
today, I check seriously when I reopen the link, it always shows that its saved, but it was not! I even downloaded a version in the middle of working to prevent data lose. end up when I upload that file to the site to re-open it, it's still a previous version!

Auto-save is such a common and essential feature, I was stunned to learn Xmind didn't at least have it as an option! This needs to be a priority to implement, as the software is unreliable for any critical work until we can trust our efforts will be saved!
Even just a simple preference that automates a "command-S" every X minutes would be incredibly helpful! Please??

I went down an unsuccessful rabbit hole trying to automate this myself because this is such an essential feature nowadays. I have lost so much work because I have both an office computer and a home computer and forget to manually save in-between (literally only application I use that does not have this feature). As much as I love this application, I am going to have to go to a different app due to how many times I have lost work to my other computer. Very sad as this is such an easy fix for the developers.

One year later, I completely dropped the desktop version of Xmind.
With this I also lost the offline capability, which is a big loss, but I would only really need it while I travel by plane, which happens very often but I can do something else.My current configuration is the new Xmind.ai and installed it as an application (from the browser menu).
My hope was that they built it as a progressive app, with offline capabilities, but no :-)Anyway, working like this, I have autosave by default (no more save button) and I can safely move between home / office / iPad without any issues.
Initially the web version was a bit laggy but now I find it works as well as the desktop version.
My next request is to make it a progressive app and we'll be fully covered.I hope this helps ;-)
