Compact Map is not enough compact

I have used FreeMind for many years, but unfortunately its development has also been discontinued for years. I am trying to switch to Xmind but I find the compact map mode "not enough y compact", compared to FreeMind. Too much white space between topic and subtopocis, between the subtopics themselves, etc.
It would be very interesting to have more compact modes, or even control the space around topics and subtopics.
