Windows App zoom issues

100% agree with what Wiktor says: the zoom scale is just horrible to use, nearly unusuable.
The gap between 50 and 100% is just too important... Better scaling would certainly be 50, 80, 100, 120%...

Also adding my voice to this. I started using XMind a few days ago with a view to rolling it out across my entire team. I love it, however the zoom functionality renders it almost unusable for me and until it is sorted I will be holding back deploying it team-wide.

A smooth zoom functionality like that seen in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator et al would be extremely powerful in XMind allowing smooth transitioning to different parts of a large mind map. However, a simple first fix is to change the incrementation of mouse wheel scrolling as mentioned above, or even better, make it a customizable value. A 5-10% step would be ideal.

Crossing all my fingers this gets read and implemented as XMind is by far the best software for mind mapping in every other respect.

I was quite fascinated with Xmind 2 years ago. Really well made UX and beatifully designed piece of software. But this project seems to be mostly dead right now. I canceled my subscription in 2021. Nobody really reads those forums. Nobody responds to user requests. Software does not get any real updates recently.

There is only some sham activity in social media made by part-time apprentice just to pretend that the project is still alive.

With unreliable and only partialy implemented cloud sync, and virtually no group collaboration tools Xmind is mostly useless for teamwork nowdays. I used it for my personal notes but in the end this zoom issue was too annoying for me.

Wiktor any tips on an alternative app? I've tested some of the other mind-map players but they're not as intuitive on the base level as xmind

Classic mind mapping software is now quite outdated in my opinion. But XMind is still one of the best in the league.

Nowdays most users moved to virtual whiteboards which offer much more functionality and are desiged for teamwork. I'm a happy user of Miro. Conceptboard is also a good option alternative. I'm also a fan of Millanote, but it's yet a different app category, and quite expensive at the same time.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah I'm familiar with Miro. Unfortunately it's just not intuitive for what I'm hoping to use it for. Still crossing my fingers someone sees this and is still developing the app

I doubt anyone from Xmind team really reads these posts. This app is long dead. They just keep subscripions up, since they still offer some real income.

You can write literally antyhing here :)
